Designated Safeguarding Lead training (certificated)

Course Outline: This course meets the formal training requirements for designated safeguarding leads. The training will provide delegates with a good understanding of the latest statutory guidance and Ofsted expectations. Delegates will have the opportunity to refresh themselves about the signs and indicators of abuse, including some of the more specific safeguarding issues.
Throughout the day, delegates will have the opportunity to share good practice, learn from serious case reviews and hear about the latest research. Safeguarding leads will feel confident about the expectations on their role and will leave with practical ideas about how to implement and secure effective safeguarding arrangements in their school, including early help offers, safer working practices, effective policy and record keeping systems and contribution to multi-agency working.
