Our Safer recruitment course is accredited by the Safer recruitment consortium and includes new materials to reflect current requirements and recommended good practice. This course covers all of the expectations set out in Children’s homes: recruiting staff (2022) and will satisfy the requirement for recruitment panels to include at least one person who has undertaken accredited training in this area.
Delegates will leave with a good understanding of offender behaviour, how to implement rigorous safer recruitment procedures and effective safer working practices and how to ensure a timely and proportionate response to any safeguarding concerns raised.
Importantly, the training will focus on creating an open culture that promotes safeguarding of all children and staff and help you to reduce the risk of appointing unsuitable staff and volunteers.
This is an interactive one-day training course that runs throughout the year. Alternatively, we can come to you and deliver the course just for your organisation, virtually, or at a venue of your choice. Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance upon successful completion.
